I don’t know when this is from, or who put this together for Disney, but it looks like a bench mark or guide for artists to aim for when applying. This is still extremely useful today, so I thought I’d post it. I don’t know if Disney or Pixar have recent “Sample Portfolios” like this for today’s artists, but I’d love to see one.

Oh man – I acquired a copy of this at the 1996 animation festival in Cardiff when Disney were recruiting. It was the benchmark to aspire to for me – 13 years later i feel i’m getting close- that & Dave Masters’ lecture always inspired me to keep drawing

Thank you so much for posting this! The school I go to doesn’t get sent these (apparently bigger art colleges do) and seeing it has really cleared up any doubts I had about what to put in my portfolio when I apply for internships! Thank you!
